I'm about to own a second automatic watch and the OCD part of me would like the one I'm not wearing to stay ticking, so can any of you watch aficionados recommend me a mains winder please? :)

I've just realised we don't have "boy's and girl's other toys" heading in the kit section. :?

Giving it a shake and setting it is all part of the enjoyment.

I did that with the one I have on the odd occasion I wore my Fitbit or G-Shock, but it somehow felt bad leaving it neglected and unloved, a bit like forgetting to leave the radio on for the dog. :sad01:

Radio for the dog? FFS, I bet the bloody thing has a smoking jacket and slippers too!

Getting back to the watch winders, why are they so bloody expensive? Send me your watch and I'll wear it for you.

you could put your Fitbit in a watch winder I suppose, it would save a lot of effort.

My older one is too deaf now, but she grew up listening to Classic FM when I left her. She happily wears my noise cancelling headphones sometimes. While I do her manicure. :)

I did one better. I sold it on to someone so I'd never have to bother again. :D

I enjoy giving it a shake as well but what do you mean by setting it?

That's the trouble with these modern dogs ... prefer to use their phones for checking the time. Otherwise, the solution would be plain.
