There are two evil things that happen when most in the Western world die.
Firstly they are embalmed....that means that someone flushes the blood out of you and down the drain into the sewer. Then they pump the dead body full of toxins....the undertakers claim that it's not toxic....at point of use, with care, maybe, but it degrades in either the crematorium or the grave and is most definitely toxic. It's why crematoriums have such huge issues, and why no archaeologist will work unsuited up on a grave that's younger than thirty years.
Secondly, the whole body preservation of some religious beliefs..... the whole world is a graveyard, and will become multiple graveyards stacked on top of each other because someone religious claims that the body ought to be left complete. They have this notion that come the rapture/whatever that they will rise again whole and complete and perfect and unblemished....pity about the blood flushed down the sewer, or does blood not count ? .....strange for a religion that believes in transubstantiation, but there you go.

I'm an archaeologist. The sooner my dead carcase is reduced to water and dust and allowed to become part of the cycle of life again, the better....with no toxic substances introduced or preservation methods applied.

Life's not about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to boogie in the rain.

Then slipping over in the wet, breaking your hip, waiting two days in A&E with your arse hanging out of a gown, undergoing surgery and then dying from a post op infection thanks to a tired foreign agency nurse on minimum pay scratching their arse and not washing their hands when they change your dressing.....

My general impression of life is that it not only takes pleasure in kicking you when you are down, but that it takes exceptional pleasure in completely shafting you when things are going well and you least expect it.
Any half decent Omniscient One would almost certainly be a subscribing member to ROF. :D
