My word, you've been busy.

Let's see. What Have I been up to?

Antler ended curtain poles x 4
    Turned antler fire steel
    Woodcarving knife
    Marking out knife
    Refurbed/tarted-up three axes
    Half finished three shaving brushes
Made two cheap and nasty woodworking clamps very usable
Bought two nice, old saws off ebay, and re-sharpened etc.
    Squirrel trap made
    Made a paddle strop
Concocted a batch of Chromium oxide paste for the above.

I'm a lazy sod. I've cut a landy boot full of ash logs for the tennant where I work, sat on my arse and done as little as possible since.
I also lent a man my axe and Warren made hook knife so I didn't have to use them.

I've been out in the garden with a Spyderhawk removing ash that's growing up from the neighbour's fence, then fitted a cowl to a boiler flue (exciting!) and now I'm back from Sainsbury's with some proper crusty rolls and sausages.

Yesterday I did fuck all, and took two separate hour long naps.

    :D

    I'm having a lazy weekend.
    I've made a blouse,
I've sharpened my grass edging shears.
    I baked cheese scones.
I did do the ironing
Cut back the mugwort and bundled and hung leaves to dry.
    Shifted pots around the garden.
    Did some quilting.
Sat and played with my watercolours :)
Gathered meadowsweet flourish and have it drying too.
Preserved some spiced peaches for Winter.

Looks a lot, but it's not really much.

You need to know the differences between the steel mixtures. The Light My Fire type are harder and produce sparks, the softer ones are misch that throw globules of sizzling metal. Both are easy to find.

This guy explains it better than I can.
